St

St. Patrick Parish publishes a weekly Bulletin/newsletter. It is one of the major ways we communicate parish events. Items to appear in this Bulletin should:

·         Not be contrary to Catholic teaching

·         Be presented in writing, preferably typed (either e-mail, fax, in person)

·         Event presented for approval of publication at least three weeks prior to event

·         Deadline for final item submission is the Monday prior to the weekend of publication

·         Individuals who submit information are responsible for ensuring accuracy of information, contact names(s) and telephone number(s)

Items submitted for publication will be given following priority:

·         Related to parish activities, functions, services, needs or ministries

·         Related to Diocesan activities, needs

·         Related to Universal Catholic Church

·         Related to acceptable Christian activities

·         Related to community services, events, needs

Items will be accepted for publication from:

·         Parish Staff

·         Persons responsible for publicity from established Parish Organizations, Programs or Ministries

·         The Diocese of Sacramento

·         Catholic organizations, national and international

·         Christian activities

·         Amador County agencies providing public services that are not contrary to Catholic teaching: public health, meals, services to schools, senior needs, etc.

·         Amador County non-profit groups with information of public interest for either fund-raising or service-providing

Publication of articles and items are on a space available basis, given the above stated priorities.

Bulletin oversight responsibility rests with Pastoral Assistant or his/her designee.

Final decision regarding appropriateness of Bulletin articles and inserts rests with the pastor.
