FAITH FORMATION REPORT
Stewardship Council Meeting
June 17, 2010

All Areas of Faith Formation
Calendars are being set and planning for next year has begun.

Catechist Formation
Amy Faist and Marci Russell from St. Patrick and Conni Boyd, Lisa Hall & Sue Miguel from Immaculate Conception have completed the Basic Catechist Course.  Applications for their certification has been submitted to the Diocese.

Youth Group
An Amador Catholic Community Youth Group is in the works. Marci Russell from St. Patrick and Liz Powers from Immaculate Conception held an informational/brainstorming meeting on June 16.  Building on the work of Janice Davis, Youth Group Leader for the last 5 years at St. Patrick, and the experience of Liz Powers at Immaculate Conception, the dream of a county-wide Catholic Youth Group will be a reality.  Marci Russell reports that the response to her invitation and the enthusiasm of those present was an affirmation that the time is right.  Another meeting is scheduled for June 30.

Publicity Campaign for Faith Formation
Camille Sereni has created three flyers which will be inserted in the bulletin and Connie Wright has written “one liners” to be added to the bulletin each week.   Articles which will appear in the Pastoral Corner are also being considered.  The goal is to promote a better understanding of Faith Formation among all parishioners, not just parents with children.
